Progress isn’t always obvious—it’s like walking through deep snow. Each step feels slow and heavy, but every single one gets you closer to where you want to be. ❄️
Hey Empowered People!
This year, I’m hosting two workshops to help you clarify your vision, build an actionable plan, and stay motivated: one virtual and one in-person. Check out the post below this article for full details and quick links to sign up, they are happening SOON!

Ever feel like you’re spinning your wheels, putting in the effort, but not actually getting anywhere? Whether it’s fitness, wellness, or life goals, we’ve all been there—hitting that plateau where progress feels slow or non-existent. And let’s be honest—it’s the worst. You’re doing the work, so why does it feel like nothing’s happening?
Here’s the thing: progress isn’t always flashy, and it definitely isn’t linear. Lately, I’ve been working with clients who are absolutely crushing their goals, some who feel like they’re wading through mud, and many who are somewhere in between. So, what’s the difference? Spoiler alert: it’s not just about effort or willpower—it’s about clarity, consistency, and showing up, even when the initial excitement has worn off.
Why Does Progress Feel Like Watching Paint Dry?
Progress can feel slow for a few reasons, but it doesn’t mean you’re failing. It’s usually because:
- You’re focusing on the wrong metrics (hint: the scale isn’t the only measure of success).
- You don’t have a clear plan connecting your daily efforts to your big goals.
- You’re overlooking the small wins that add up over time.
- You’re in the “invisible effort” phase where things are happening behind the scenes, even if you can’t see them yet.
Accountability: The Secret Sauce
Having someone to hold you accountable is a total game-changer—but not all accountability is created equal. I’ve seen workout buddies who motivate each other and make progress together, and I’ve also seen them talk each other into skipping workouts and grabbing post-gym cocktails and take out. (Oops.)
Here’s the key: make sure your accountability partner has some skin in the game. This means they:
- Are serious about their own goals.
- Can gently call you out when you’re slacking.
- Push you forward instead of enabling excuses.
This is why working with a coach or joining a structured program can make such a difference. A great coach provides the tools, guidance, and no-excuses accountability you need to stay on track.
And hey, why not grab a friend or five and join one of my Goal Smash Workshops? It’s the perfect way to set up a solid foundation for 2025—and sharing the experience with others can deepen your commitment while helping them, too!
How to Stay Motivated When Progress Feels MIA
If progress feels slow, try these mindset shifts:
1. Celebrate the Wins You Can’t Weigh
Maybe the scale hasn’t moved, but are you lifting heavier? Sleeping better? Feeling more energized? These are huge victories!
2. Measure What Matters to YOU
Focus on the habits and milestones that align with your goals, like showing up consistently, improving your mood, or drinking more water.
3. Fall in Love with the Process
Transformation doesn’t happen overnight. Celebrate the small steps you’re taking now—they’re laying the groundwork for future success.
4. Revisit Your Why
What’s your big motivation? Keep it front and center. When you’re clear on why you’re doing something, it’s easier to stick with it.
Show Up, Even When It’s Hard
Here’s the truth: progress doesn’t happen without showing up. Whether it’s showing up to the gym, to a workshop, or simply for yourself, the effort you make today matters—even if you can’t see the results just yet.
If you’re ready to smash your goals in 2025, join me for my Goal Smash Workshops—in-person or online. Together, we’ll create a clear plan, track what truly matters, and keep each other accountable every step of the way.
Let’s make 2025 the year you move past the stuck feeling and step into real, lasting progress.
Warmly,
Coach Christine
