But wait—before you start thinking consistency means boring routines, let’s add a twist of excitement, and that imperative personal flair!
The Many Faces of Consistency
When we think of consistency, we might picture a rigid routine of daily workouts and strict meal plans. However, consistency doesn’t have to mean perfection. It’s about making regular efforts that align with your goals and being adaptable to life’s changes. Some days, consistency might mean hitting the gym for a full workout, while on others, it might be a brisk walk or a yoga session at home. Similarly, consistently nourishing your body can include a variety of wholesome foods that you enjoy, without feeling deprived.
Prioritization: The Key to Making Change
Consistency thrives on prioritization. To make lasting changes, it’s essential to prioritize your health and wellness goals. This means identifying what matters most to you and allocating time and resources accordingly. Start by setting clear, achievable goals and breaking them down into manageable steps. You will notice that if your training and fueling don’t align with your desired performance, body composition, or other outcomes it is likely because you are not prioritizing those things for some reason and some deeper digging is probably needed into WHY?

Understanding your values helps you maintain accountability and motivation by ensuring that your efforts are aligned with what truly matters to you. Take some time to reflect on your values and how they relate to your health and wellness goals. When your actions are in harmony with your values, staying motivated becomes more natural and meaningful.

Here is where that solid base comes in! Making lifestyle changes can be challenging, but having a support system can make all the difference. Surrounding yourself with friends, family, and partners who understand and support your goals can provide motivation and accountability. Here’s how to foster a supportive environment:
