People ask me all the time, what is the best exercise?  My answer might surprise you.  Brace yourself… it’s the ones you like!  Yep.  Especially when you are new to exercise or feeling stuck in your routines.  That is when it’s time to lean in to the things you actually like to do.  One of the biggest mistakes people make is thinking exercise needs to be grueling and/or time consuming.

Remember when you were a kid and you just went out and played?  That is the energy we need to tap in to for longevity and quality of life.  Just like the other habits in our lives we are trying to cultivate, can you make it fun, simple, satisfying?  Something you will show up for even on your hardest day?  That’s the ticket!

Once you establish that habit or re-kindle your joy in movement, sure you want to challenge yourself, and yes, we I can build elaborate periodized plans for my training clients to reach specific body composition or performance goals but this is the secret sauce for when you are stuck or starting.  You have everything you need right now!  You don’t need to workout before you go to the class, hire that coach, join that team.  You just need to sign up, show up, start!
